Ferrari, arguably one of the most iconic car manufacturers ever. When I think about Ferrari, I see their iconic red, their beautiful vehicles, the racing history, formula one success, the unmistakeable logo, and many more achievements in the car world. A lot of the vehicles that marked my childhood were from Ferrari. The F40, my childhood dream, the F50, the Testarossa, and of course, the GTO.
From a racing bloodline, but without the chance to do so. The Ferrari 288 GTO remains a classic and rare Ferrari. To me, one of those beautiful cars that will be historic, not because of its winning history but maybe the opposite. What makes this car special? How it organically came to be due to the want of group B representation by Ferrari, and the disappointing extinction of the race, made the car be terminated prematurely.
