The Ultimate Car Lover’s Guide to Monterey Car Week

The so anticipated car week is here and I wanted to contribute something by making a post of the mostly free and interesting events featured this week.

Let’s get to the details:

Let me begin with the Canpea Motorsports open house, from Friday, August 11th until the 22nd. Get more info HERE.

Friday, August 11th

From 5 to 7PM you have the Car Week Kick Off on Alvarado street. All the cars that will be at the Rolex Reunion will be there. Never attended after all these years but rest assured I’ll be there this time.

Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th

You can find me at the track for the Rolex Pre-reunion. You can get your tickets HERE.

Monday, August 14th

From 10AM to 6PM you can find Automobilia Monterey. Books, posters, magazines and everything that you might need to decorate your… garage? The event runs until the 16th, so you have time to visit. This event is at the Embassy suits HERE. $20 buys you admittance for the three days.

From 4PM to 8PM you can find the Porsche Monterey Classic. You can get your FREE ticket HERE and also more info about the event.

Tuesday, August 15th

On Tuesday, there is a couple, Acura In The Park, at Devendorf Park in Carmel (FREE), from 9AM to 4PM. You can also check out The Classic Motorsports Monterey Kickoff in DT Pacific Grove (FREE). Pelican Parts, Griot’s and Moss will also be there.

Wednesday, August 16th

From 12PM to 5PM you can catch The Little Car Show, again in DT Pacific Grove. This show is also free. The second free event you can catch is the arrival of the Pebble Beach Motoring Classic. This group embarks on a road trip from Washington to Monterey, where they arrive on Wednesday at Casa Palmero. Finally, in Davendorf park, you can find the Concourse For A Cause. Electric conversions of older vehicles. My assumption is that it is also FREE.

Thursday, August 17th

From 7AM to 12PM you can catch The Pebble Beach Tour D’Elegance. You do have to pay the toll for HWY 1 but the rest is free. Also from 7AM to 3PM you can catch The Legends Of The Autobahn. This is an expo of memorabilia and auto related items. Finally, you can find the Concourse Village At Pebble Beach, the 17th and the 19th. Held at Corner of Stevenson and Forest Lake Rd Corner of Stevenson and Forest Lake Rd, Pebble Beach, CA 93953. Yes, it is free.

Friday, August 18th

Saturday, August 19th

8AM to 1PM, Concourse d’Lemons. This FREE event can be found at: Seaside City Hall, 440 Harcourt Ave, Seaside, CA. “Celebrating the oddball, mundane and truly awful of the entire automotive world”. You can find more information about the event HERE. Exotics on Broadway is also from 1PM to 6PM, Free event.

Sunday, August 20th

7AM, Weathertech Laguna Seca, The Corkscrew Hillclimb. $35 to get in (more like $40 due to some fee). It includes parking but I think it is a cool event. Get your tickets HERE.

Hoping that you are able to make it and enjoy the week.
