Formex has graced us with another release this Summer, a very colorful one for that matter. This release is a limited production for the Summer only. You can choose from Sunset Orange, Sunflower Yellow, Jungle Green, Baby Blue and Lavender Purple versions. The release encompasses the two iterations of the Essence, the original Essence and the Essence Leggera.
The Essence
Originally, there are two different Essence sizes, 39mm and 43mm. In this case, only the 39mm gets the color treatment, IN STAINLESS STEEL. Prices, seem to remain the same as the current Essence on the lineup. There are plenty of straps to choose from, and adding the modularity of Formex watches, you don’t have to worry about customization in that respect.
The Essence Leggera
On the other hand, there are two iterations of the Essence Leggera 43mm and 41mm. Again, only the 43mm gets the color treatment. Having the 41mm getting the Summer Splash would have been almost redundant. I see the goal here as to appeal to a wider preference of size ranges. Making the Leggera the bigger option is also an obvious choice, since it is bigger but it will be lighter. Carbon and ceramic baby! Did I mention that the Leggera is on my shortlist? Inside the Essence, both iterations, beats a Swiss Made Sellita SW-200 automatic movement Chronometer certified. Usual from Formex, Swiss made movement at one of the highest grades.
The Formex Essence Splash Chronometer collection is now available at the Formex website HERE. Prices are starting at USD 1,480.00 in the 39mm steel version and USD 1,640.00 for the 43 mm Leggera.
My only concern after seeing these models is… Where is the yellow strap?!
