Again, quick and easy review of this piece of hardware for our FWD friend the Volkswagen GTI.

Why did I choose it?

Why 034? well, I like trying out different brands in everything I use. In this case, 034 has a pretty good reputation with the Audi/Volkswagen enthusiasts and it deserved a try. Also, the guys are pretty responsive in case you have a question regarding their products.

There are many sway bars for this platform which didn’t make it any easier. Besides the reputation that they have, pricing also played a role in my decision.

How was the installation?

Well, I am terribly disappointed to say that I did not install this piece of hardware. We recently moved to an apartment, which limits the amount of work I can perform on the vehicles nowadays.

Sorry…

Any differences?

The differences are huge from the first drive after installation. The body roll on the turns has been greatly reduced. So far, and this is because I have only done two autocross events since installation, I feel a greater difference while daily driving the car rather than at autocross.

I will blame it on the lack of consistency I have had at attending the events, rather than say that the sway bar does not make a difference. Let me give it a couple more events and I will update the post.

Is it worth it?

Hell yeah! The car is more stable on the turns which allows me to use the brakes a little less 😉

Sway bars are a must man, I am telling you. I hope this gives a brief insight of the benefits of adding this piece of hardware to your vehicle.

Until next time,
